This generous act underscores the Diocese’s unwavering commitment to supporting the sick, the marginalized, and the broader community.

The ongoing retreat on the Synod on Synodality is progressing with call by the Holy Father Pope Francis to chat new ways of spreading evangelization.

Participants at the events among many people are the Archbishop of Abuja, Most Reverend Ignatius Kaigama and the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Most Reverend Matthew Hassan Kukah.

The undying love and commitment of the Catholic Church to the growth and improvement of human dignity in the Northern part of Nigeria has been further demonstrated by the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto with the establishment of a new school in Sokoto, Northwest Nigeria.

The Veritas University of Nigeria has won the third edition of the African Telecommunications Union (ATU)-led Africa Innovation Challenge in which twenty six institutions of higher learning in Africa participated.

Nigeria has not achieved greatness because of the many largely human and leadership challenges.

Whoever looks at what is happening within the rank of APC both at the national level and state levels especially in Imo, Ekiti and Osun States needs no logical demonstration to conclude that the political crisis is heightening every day. Not only that, PDP has come out in a big way as an opposition party. It is already a clash of the titans.

The Pontifical Mission Society (PMS) has built a playground for Holy Family Schools, Sokoto in the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto.

The facility was today officially handed over to the proprietor of the Schools, Most Rev Dr. Matthew Kukah, Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese by the PMS Director, Rev. Sr. Sylvalin.

Bishop Kukah in his remarks appreciated PMS for their contribution to the school and education in the State while calling on the government in Northern Nigeria to be more committed to Education.
